2. A Fraction in the Form of a Percentage
- 50% ⟶ ‘50 percent’
- A percentage is a comparison made with a total which is taken to be 100 parts.
- 50% is 50 units out of 100 units.
- We can write this as the fraction
- 50% means ⟶ 50 parts of a total of 100.

(1) Percentage in the Form of a Fraction
- Why do we convert a Percentage into a Fraction?
- To understand what part (fraction) of the whole quantity the percentage represents.
- Fractions are useful in calculations (like dividing or finding parts).
- Steps to Convert a Percentage into a Fraction –
- Write the given percentage as a fraction with denominator 100.
- Simplify the fraction (if possible).
- Write the given percentage as a fraction with denominator 100.
(2) A Fraction in the Form of a Percentage
- Fractions have different denominators, like ½, ⅔, ¾ etc.
- It’s hard to directly compare them.
- But when we convert them into percentages, every value becomes “out of 100”, which makes comparison simple.
- Percentage means “out of 100”. So, we must make the denominator of the fraction 100.
- Steps to convert fraction in the form of percentage –
- Write the given fraction
- Convert the denominator into 100 by multiplying numerator and denominator by the same number.
- The numerator now shows the percentage.

(1) शेकडेवारीची माहिती अपूर्णांकाच्या रूपात
(2) अपूर्णाकाच्या रूपातील माहिती शेकडेवारीमध्ये
- 50% ⟶ ‘50 टक्के’
- ‘शेकडेवारी’ म्हणजे एकूण १०० भागांपैकी किती भाग घेतले आहेत, हे दाखविण्याची पद्धत.
- ५०% म्हणजे १०० पैकी ५० भाग.
- आपण हे अपूर्णांक रूपात लिहू शकतो.
- 50% ⟶ १०० पैकी ५० भाग.
(1) शेकडेवारीची माहिती अपूर्णांकाच्या रूपात
- आपण शेकडेवारीचे अपूर्णांकात रूपांतर का करतो?
- एकूण भागांपैकी किती भाग म्हणजे दिलेली शेकडेवारी हे समजण्यासाठी.
- अपूर्णांक वापरल्याने गणना (जसे भागाकार) करणे सोपे होते.
- शेकडेवारीचे अपूर्णांक रूपांतर करण्याच्या पायऱ्या :
- दिलेली शेकडेवारी छेदामध्ये १०० घेऊन अपूर्णांक स्वरूपात लिहा.
- शक्य असल्यास अपूर्णांक साधे करा.
- दिलेली शेकडेवारी छेदामध्ये १०० घेऊन अपूर्णांक स्वरूपात लिहा.
(2) अपूर्णाकाच्या रूपातील माहिती शेकडेवारीमध्ये
- अपूर्णांकांचे छेद वेगवेगळे असतात, जसे ½, ⅔, ¾.
- त्यामुळे त्यांची थेट तुलना करणे कठीण होते.
- परंतु जेव्हा आपण अपूर्णांकांना शेकडेवारीत रूपांतरित करतो, तेव्हा सर्व संख्या “१०० पैकी” म्हणून मांडल्या जातात, त्यामुळे तुलना करणे सोपे होते.
- ‘शेकडेवारी’ म्हणजे ‘१०० पैकी’
म्हणून अपूर्णांकाचे रूपांतर करताना छेद १०० करावा लागतो. - अपूर्णांकाचे शेकडेवारीत रूपांतर करण्याच्या पायऱ्या –
- दिलेला अपूर्णांक लिहा.
- छेद १०० करण्यासाठी छेद व अंश दोघांनाही समान संख्येने गुणा.
- आता अंश (numerator) शेकडेवारी दर्शवितो.
